BIOGRAPHY
Jay Chittooran works on government affairs at Samsung Electronics, where he focuses on a range of semiconductor policy issues, including trade, export controls, and investment.
Chittooran previously served as global policy manager at SEMI, a global semiconductor industry association, as the director of services and digital trade at the Coalition of Services Industries, and before that, served as a policy advisor at Third Way, where his portfolio included trade. He has also worked in positions focused on economics at the Council on Foreign Relations, Google Ideas (now Jigsaw), Goldman Sachs, and West Point. Chittooran has also written speeches on a wide variety of issues for a number of policymakers.
His research has appeared or been cited in the Washington Post, The Hill, Politico, Roll Call, Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Houston Chronicle, and Time, among other publications, and he has briefed U.S. government officials, Members of Congress, media outlets, and other interested parties. He also currently serves on the launch team for a public policy startup.
