BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Seok-Hee Lee is the Executive Chairman at Solidigm, which was established following SK Hynix’s acquisition of Intel's NAND and SSD business.
Dr. Lee was the president and chief executive officer of SK Hynix as of December 2018. Ever since he was appointed to the position, he led the innovation of memory and CIS technology to secure the company's growth.
Prior to becoming the CEO in 2016, Dr. Lee served as the company’s chief operating officer, managing the company's entire business operations.
From 2014, he was responsible for DRAM Business Development, driving the expansion of DRAM process technology for further scaling.
In 2013, as the senior vice president and chief technology officer, he oversaw R&D, overseeing the development of numerous novel semiconductor technologies and processes.
Dr.Lee was the Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), from 2010 to 2013 where he primarily researched scaling and manufacturing semiconductors.
From 2000 for ten years, he worked at Intel, as a principal engineer and group leader for process improvement.
He started his career by joining Hyundai Electronics (now, SK hynix) as a senior researcher in 1990.
Dr. Lee received Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University, and both M.S and B.S in Inorganic Materials Science and Engineering from Seoul National University.
