BIOGRAPHY
Doug combines more than 20 years of experience creating manufacturing software with a deep desire to help customers find the best solutions to solve their biggest challenges. At PEER Group, Doug leads the marketing team responsible for digital content, thought leadership initiatives, and external events. He also collaborates with factory and OEM customers to ensure their needs are prioritized during the development of product roadmaps.
Joining PEER Group in 2011 as a senior software developer, Doug worked on multiple big data projects. A natural storyteller and technical communicator, he became PEER Group's first product evangelist in 2016, sharing the company’s vision at trade shows and conferences around the world. A passionate advocate for smart manufacturing, Doug is an active member of the SEMI® SMART Manufacturing Technology Community, Americas Chapter, and co-chairs the Advanced Process Control Smart Manufacturing Conference.
Prior to PEER Group, Doug was a software development manager, automation engineer, information systems specialist, and consultant, gaining extensive experience designing and integrating robust automation software solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science with Honors in System Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and is pursuing an MBA at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfred Laurier University.
