From Digital Hype to Physical Reality 

ABSTRACT

Robotics, AI, Physical AI – the list is endless, but the promise is real as are the applications. Products like robot vacuums, autonomous vehicles and humanoid robots are in the market, being brought to market, and are being conceptualized every day. The impact that these technologies can have on life is enormous with the potential to revolutionize manufacturing, transportation and even aspects of our daily domestic life. We’ll look at what have been some of the core enablers such as sensors and computing, what could be the limiting factors to supercharge the development and adoption of robotics, AI and physical AI in our world. We’ll also touch upon the growth opportunities and the potential markets where these technologies will have the most impact over the next few years and what we can all be doing to impact the development and deployment of these technologies.

Vijay Headshot

Dr. Vijay Somandepalli is an accomplished entrepreneur, executive, and technologist with degrees in mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering. He is the Co-Founder & CTO of Enigma Aerospace, a company developing autonomous aircraft for long range logistics applications, and the UAS & AAM Director at Massrobotics.  Dr. Somandepalli is a member of the Massachusetts Robotics Industry Steering Committee and serves as an advisor to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. A recognized pioneer in the autonomous systems space, he formerly founded and served as the CTO of American Robotics and led technology strategy at Ondas Holdings.
