BIOGRAPHY 

David Horsley

Dr. David A. Horsley is an IEEE Fellow and a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors specializing in MEMS and ultrasonic technologies. He holds a joint appointment as Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University—where he co-directs the Institute for NanoSystems Innovation (NanoSI)—and as SVP of Innovation at Butterfly Network. A highly cited researcher with over 200 papers and 30 patents, his accolades include the NSF CAREER Award, the Schwarzkopf Award for Technological Innovation, and Northeastern’s 2024 Global Network Accelerator Award. Dr. Horsley has served as Co-Chair for major industry events, including the 2020 IEEE MEMS and 2016 IEEE Sensors conferences.
