BIOGRAPHY
David Fried is corporate vice president of Semiverse® Solutions at Lam Research, where he is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of software products and algorithms for predictive process modeling and process control. Prior to this, David served as Chief Technology Officer of Coventor where he led the execution of technology strategy for platforms, partnerships and external
relationships. He spent 14 years at IBM where he held leadership positions in the company’s Systems and Technology Group. His technical expertise includes silicon-on-insulator, FinFETs, memory scaling, strained silicon, and process variability. David earned B.S. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering, as well as M.S. and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell
University. He holds more than 60 patents and has authored 50 publications.
