BIOGRAPHY

Mike Frame, HeadshotMichael Frame serves as Executive Vice President for MACNY, the Manufacturing Association. In this role, he serves as second-in-command and a key member of MACNY’s Executive Leadership Team responsible for all policy and strategic decision-making including operations, budget, programmatic offerings, talent development, and partnerships.


Mike is a builder, focusing on talent and workforce development programs, like the NYS Manufacturers Alliance Intermediary Apprenticeship Program, Partners for Education and Business, Inc. (PEB), and Real Life Rosies® - New York’s first direct entry pre-apprenticeship program in advanced manufacturing. Michael’s impact garnered recognition with MACNY receiving BCNYS Workforce Innovation Award, NYATEP NYS Workforce Program Award, OnPoint for Jobs Award, and recently 40 in their 40s by City and State Magazine.


Mike's journey is the culmination of years of experience serving several institutions of higher learning including most recently as Chief Operating Officer of SUNY Polytechnic Institute. He previously served at Florida State University, SUNY System Administration, Binghamton University, and the California State University System. A graduate of Syracuse University, Cornell University and Cayuga Community College, he serves in leadership positions on multiple economic and educational non-profits, including Mohawk Valley EDGE, Syracuse Regional Airport Authority, and Cayuga Community College Foundation. He previously served as Chair of OnPoint for College, Chair of Fuller Road Management Corporation (NY CREATES), and Chair of the Council on Government Affairs for the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities. A native upstate New Yorker, Mike is a Syracuse Orange fanatic and avid t-shirt collector. He resides in the Mohawk Valley with his wife, Heather, and their three children and two dogs.
