BIOGRAPHY

Capri O'Hara, HeadshotCapri O’Hara is a strategic workforce development leader specializing in semiconductor talent pipeline design, experiential education, and cross-sector partnership execution. As the Educational Outreach and Workforce Development Manager for NY CREATES, she directs the implementation of statewide and national-scale initiatives that align education and training systems with the technical workforce demands of the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries.

Capri aligns and integrates academic institutions, industry stakeholders, and government partners to accelerate the development of a high-skill, semiconductor-ready workforce. Her portfolio includes technical programming across the full learner continuum—ranging from K–12 STEM outreach to advanced faculty upskilling, as well as structured experiential learning pathways such as internships, co-ops, and technician pipeline programs at both two- and four-year colleges.

Capri led the development and launch of the NY CREATES Registered Apprenticeship Program, a strategic workforce asset designed to formalize entry-level technician pathways and respond to critical semiconductor labor shortages. Capri also played a pivotal role in establishing the Capital Region BOCES New Visions Emerging Technologies Program, which provides secondary students with applied learning in semiconductor fabrication and advanced technology systems.

Through systems-level coordination and a data-informed, learner-centered approach, Capri advances scalable models for semiconductor workforce readiness. Her work enables rapid talent deployment, supports innovative ecosystems, and contributes to regional and national strategies for strengthening domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity.
