BIOGRAPHY

Jamie Girard

Jamie Girard works as Principal, Girard Government Relations, a government affairs shop focused exclusively on semiconductor public policy. Jamie started the firm in 2018 with the mission of helping companies in the semiconductor supply chain better connect with policymakers in Washington, DC.  This was after nearly a decade of working as the head of the Washington, DC office of SEMI, the global electronics manufacturing supply chain trade association where he focused on issues related to trade, export controls, tax reform, federal funding for research and development, and some of the predecessors to what we now know as the CHIPS Act.  Prior to joining SEMI, Jamie was Senior Legislative Assistant for Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA-6), where he served as her staffer on the House Committee on Science and Technology.  Jamie has a degree in Political Science from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine and currently lives with his wife, son, and daughter in the Northeast Washington, DC neighborhood of Brookland.
