The American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act: Status and Implications for the U.S. Semiconductor Industry

ABSTRACT

Since its signing in 2020 the AIM Act has gone through numerous rulemakings, challenges and revisions. From the beginning the semiconductor industry has been given special status as an Application Specific sector for the allocation and use of key regulated fluorochemicals. This year, the 5th year since the signing, requires a review of the program by the EPA as it pertains to this industry. It will be completed by late September.and may affect the industry.
