TDLAS Technology and the Future of ESG Gas Analysis
ABSTRACT
TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) is a robust and flexible sensing technology that can be used to measure moisture and other impurities down to the ppt levels in a variety of gasses. Based on fundamental principal (Beer's Law), it does not require calibration, and linear response is excellent. TDLAS technology can not only be used with non-reactive gases, but can be used for both reactive gases and gases that have background interference using advanced signal processing techniques. Servomex is seeking co-development partners to develop the future of ESG (Electronic Specialty Gas) analysis.
BIOGRAPHY
Andrew Wright has a 30-year professional career in commercial instrumentation and spectroscopic gas detection, in roles spanning across research, product development, and sustaining engineering in small and large companies. Early in his career, he was very involved with tunable diode laser spectroscopy development that resulted in the DF700 product still in the market today.
He has a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from University of Wisconsin-Madison and re-joined Servomex in December 2023.
