BIOGRAPHY
Dr. John Hu is currently Director of Advanced Technology Group in Nvidia Corporation. John is responsible for R&D of advanced technology programs and the successful implementation and ramp-up of Nvidia’s advanced GPU/AI chips, as well as technology partnerships with various IC industry groups, companies and academics.
John has about 30 years experience in R&D and technology management in the IC industry. Prior to joining Nvidia in 2005, John has worked in LSI Logic, Sun Microsystems and other companies. John’s expertise includes chip technologies and design implementations for AI chips, GPU, CPU, SOC and ASIC.
John has also been board member, president or advisor of various organizations and companies, as well as committee member and paper reviewer of international conferences and journals such as IEEE IEDM etc.
Dr. Hu holds a BS degree from University of Science and Technology of China, and a PhD from Auburn University, in the field of solid state physics and microelectronics.
