BIOGRAPHY
Maria Peterson is Director of Innovation Strategies at JSR Life Sciences in Sunnyvale, California where she is responsible for driving vision, strategy, and identifying new capabilities and opportunities for JSR Life Sciences. Maria is an experienced Corporate Venturing professional with a deep background in innovation, specialty materials, technology scouting, and business development. She has been with JSR for 18 years including her previous role in Corporate Venturing and Innovation for JSR Micro where she engaged with startups and technology innovators to assess advanced materials and technologies for electronics and life sciences applications to identify and grow new businesses for JSR. Prior to JSR, she was Technical Marketing Director for Cabot Microelectronics and Applications Engineering Manager for EKC Technology (now DuPont/EKC Technology). Maria earned her PhD from Stanford University in surface geochemistry, MS from UC Berkeley, and BA from Carleton College.
