John Chong has spent his career bringing new technology to market and helping companies start, grow and scale. He currently serves as Head of Engineering and Product Strategy at DeepSight Technology, a company working to revolutionize diagnostic medical imaging. He also advises on technology commercialization at Jib Technology and is active in SEMI's MEMS and Sensors Industry Group where he served as Chairman and now sits on the Governing Council. Prior roles include VP of Product Strategy and Business Development at Kionix, a startup acquired by ROHM Semiconductor, that is a global manufacturer of sensors for consumer, automotive and industrial sectors, and Director of Engineering at Calient Networks, a leader in Photonics and Optical Networking. John holds a BS and PhD from Cornell University where he developed microfluidic lab-on-a-chip technology, is an inventor on numerous patents and has spoken at conferences worldwide about technology, market trends and company strategy.
