Improving Health and Safety in Smart Cities Using New Advances in the Five Digital Sense

ABSTRACT

Gas and chemical sensors have lagged well behind the adoption of other physical sensors that are now widely deployed in smart cities. This presentation will give a brief history and description of the types of gas and environmental sensors that can be deployed in smart cities and present 3 case studies where sensors are being considered for adoption today with a summary of challenges and benefits.
