Precision Agriculture, A Virtuous Endeavor or A Viscious Sink-Hole of Disappointment?

ABSTRACT

Let's keep it real: most SEMI members have heard the statistics relating to agriculture's role in feeding the planet and the cataclysmic forecast regarding the inefficiencies of today's farming methods.

Some SEMI members consider the agriculture sector nothing but a pandora's box - while others dream about the overwhelming good that is possible to unleash.

This presentation will take the audience behind the scene of a real farm - a highly instrumented and automated farm with incredible net benefits and ROI. But hold on, there is a plot twist that the audience should be aware of and determine their willingness to experience both the virtuous and the vicious potential that awaits them.

The presenter, Doug Standley, has connected a farm and will share the experience and outline the opportunity to feed the world without continuing to destroy the planet.
