Moving From Sensors to Biosignal Processing Units

BIOGRAPHY

Edoardo GallizioEdoardo loves gardening, hiking, and enjoying when possible outdoor activities with his family of 4 children in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where he currently lives.

Gallizio began his career at ST in 2005 in the Advanced System Technology Group. He later joined the former ST Audio division as Product Marketing Engineer, responsible for Japanese OEMs in Asia. In 2013 Gallizio relocated to the Americas region, joining the Strategic Sector Marketing team with responsibility for Wearable and IoT segment business development.

Since 2015 he leads a Team of Prod. marketers across North America and he is responsible for Biz development and technical support for MEMS products STMicroelectronics develops and manufactures, addressing multiple market segments from Personal Electronics and Consumer to Industrial and Automotive.

Gallizio was a voting member of the IEEE committee that defined the 802.11n specifications for MIMO WiFi. He is also a co-author of several patents in the field of digital signal processing and wireless communication.

He earned his master’s degree in Telecommunication at Politecnico di Milano, Italy with Master Thesis in OFDM and CDMA techniques for Wireless Communications.
