The Seamless Connection to Our Environment

ABSTRACT

Sensor technology is becoming increasingly sophisticated, affordable, and ubiquitous. Sensors are becoming the human interface to the digital world and, when combined with machine learning (ML), make systems or devices more aware of what the human is doing, about to do, or has just done. As the variety and capabilities of sensors grow, technology has the opportunity to disappear into the background, assisting everyone to be better connected, track their internal health and well being and their external environment, and be enabled with more leisure time. Finally, sensors can optimize the power we consume with all devices, delivering a great experience at the lowest consumption of resources. I will explore these themes and inspire a future vision of smarter sensors.
