Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Market Outlook 2021–Mid Year Update
Clark Tseng | Director, Industry Research and Statistics | SEMI
COVID-19 has reshaped the world as we know it and the impact is likely to be felt for at least a decade ahead. While the world economy has only started to recover in recent months, the semiconductor industry has seen strong growth since last year driven by WFH/LFH and digital transformation. The DX will continue to create a cycle of explosive growth in semiconductors. However, the sudden surge in demands has put more stress on the semiconductor supply chain.
This presentation will discuss the year-to-date market trends and present SEMI’s perspectives and forecasts on the equipment, and materials markets. I will also touch upon recent component and capacity constraints and the implications to the supply chain.
