Logic Leadership 2025

ABSTRACT

Up until the mid-2010s Intel was the clear leader in leading-edge logic technology. Then as the decade progressed, we saw TSMC and Samsung pass Intel with TSMC taking the leadership position. More recently we are seeing Samsung and TSMC struggle with the 3nm transition while Intel is “accelerated”.
In this presentation we will begin with a review of the evolution of leading-edge logic technology, the age of Intel leadership and how they lost their lead. We will then review the current state-of-the-art and where each company stands. Finally, we will analyze where we see each companies technology roadmap evolving over the next several years and the likely landscape in 2025.”
