Looking Beyond: Designing Risk-Ready Supply Chains for the Post-COVID World
ABSTRACT
Covid-19 represented a shock to the system that has forever changed supply chains and how companies think about risk. Supply chain experts have been reeling from the high financial consequences of long-lasting transportation delays and supply shortages, that are expected to continue through 2023. As leaders look to the future of manufacturing and material flow, the focus is on resilience and designing risk ready supply chains. This presentation will discuss how enterprises are changing their approach, strategies, and in some cases even the culture of their organizations to be more conscious of risk. Supply chains power life, create livelihoods and raise our standard of living. However, they are increasingly vulnerable as we look at emerging risks globally, so it is critical to learn how today’s leaders are designing the supply chain for the future.
