Decarbonization and Digitization Driving The Growth In Power Semiconductors

ABSTRACT

We are in the midst of an energy transition with a strong need to act in order to meet climate goals. At the same time, everything around us is becoming connected and intelligent, and use of AI will drive the need for more connectivity and compute in many sectors of the industry. Replacement of fossil fuels in power generation with renewable, clean and secure sources is accelerating, and at the same time consumption in areas previously dominated by fossil fuels are being replaced with electrified applications. Semiconductors are the most basic and crucial elements of the solutions driving these changes around us to achieve our global sustainability goals.
