Enabling Immersive Augmented Reality

ABSTRACT

Many see virtual / mixed / augmented reality as the next evolution in computation as new interface modalities enhance the way we experience the world.  To enable this revolution, advances in compute, battery, sensing, and display systems will be require new architectures, materials, process technology, and metrology.  This talk will review what is meant by virtual and augmented reality in terms of use-cases and technology, and will touch upon what will be required to commercialize customer immersive Augmented Reality Technology.
