Driving Sustainable Innovation

ABSTRACT

It’s amazing to see the transformation of technology to date and what’s coming in the next decade. Ambient computing, advancements in smart homes, autonomous driving, AR/VR – computing is advancing at incredible speeds. We need industry wide collaboration to develop custom system solutions for various applications in these areas. We need to ensure we innovate while optimizing our environmental footprint, and deliver supply chains with flexibility and resilience. There are significant opportunities for innovation and they all require strong partnerships across the ecosystem to develop new technologies.


BIOGRAPHY

Carolin Seward, Google

Carolin Seward has decades of experience in the Silicon industry. She is currently VP of Custom Silicon Sourcing and Operations at Google, Consumer Hardware. Her organization is responsible for sourcing, development and manufacturing engineering operations, factory supply planning, and supply chain management for custom silicon. 

Prior to Google, Carolin held several positions at Intel corporations.  She was the VP and GM of Sourcing and Supplier management in the Global External Manufacturing Sourcing organization at Intel Corporation. She also served as Vice President and General Manager of the Data Center Solutions Group responsible for delivering integrated data center systems and customer experience. She also held several roles in the Technology Manufacturing Group including Vice President and Director of Global Supply Management for assembly/test equipment and materials, including substrates. She spent several years in frontend wafer manufacturing equipment supply chain in various roles, managing supply chain strategy and key equipment accounts. 

Carolin is on the Board of Industry Leaders at SEMI and has sponsored many women in technology and supply chain initiatives. She received The Top 50 Women Leaders of San Francisco award in 2022.  She received her BS in Materials Engineering from San Jose State University and her MBA from Pepperdine University.
