BIOGRAPHY
William Duffy has been on corporate counsel for Cadence since August 2021, advising on matters related to all aspects of our trade and sanctions compliance program. Mr. Duffy helps business units understand the EAR and the ITAR’s compliance requirements, help keep our commercial agreements consistent with the current regulatory environment, and work with his team to develop appropriate implementation plans in response to (increasingly frequent) regulatory changes. He came to Cadence from a domestic aerospace manufacturer, where he worked in operational compliance and conducted trade-related internal investigations. Prior to that he was a litigator in private practice in Seattle, Washington, where he currently lives. Apart from the United States, Mr. Duffy has lived in the United Kingdom, Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand.
