Deputy Executive Director, Office of Energy and Carbon Reduction, Executive Yuan

Dr. Tze-Luen Alan Lin serves as Deputy Executive Director of the Office of Energy and Carbon Reduction at the Executive Yuan and is a Professor of Political Science at National Taiwan University. In his high-level government roles, including former Cabinet Spokesperson, Dr. Lin spearheads Taiwan’s renewable energy policies, climate governance, and net-zero emissions pathway while aligning cross-ministerial efforts. His active role in international climate diplomacy—including serving as Head of the National Delegation at UNFCCC COP27 and Special Envoy from COP28 through COP30—highlights his ongoing commitment to global climate advocacy. Dr. Lin receives the Outstanding Contribution of the Year Award in 2023 from Future Earth Taipei for his work in the field of energy transition and national net-zero emissions policy advancement.
