Melinda Gomez is the SEMI Foundation’s Manager of Veteran Initiatives. She recently joined the dynamic team to help elevate SEMI as a leader in the military advocacy space through the VetWorks Initiative. In this role, she is expanding opportunities for members of the military community across the semiconductor and microelectronics industry.
Melinda has been working in support of employment opportunities for over 10 years in both federal government and non-profit sectors. Most recently, she was a Regional Manager with the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes initiative, building business relationships and facilitating internships across all industries for thousands of transitioning service members. Her whole life has been submerged in the military community, which gives her a unique perspective and passion for working with this population. Her efforts with the Vetworks Initiative include hosting hiring events, conducting workshops and webinars and consulting with various stakeholders to connect and expand opportunities nationwide.
She holds a Master of Public Administration and is a Certified Professional Career Coach. She lives in San Diego with her family and enjoys all the beautiful outdoor activities of the area in her spare time.
