Jim headshotJim Barrilleaux, PMP (Project Management Professional) began in the Semiconductor business in 1986 working at Honeywell (now the Atmel facility) in Colorado Springs. During this time he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and then a masters from University of Texas in Technology Commercialization. In 1989, he made the move for much warmer Austin, Texas to begin his career at Motorola (now Freescale).  Starting in the fab at Motorola, Jim worked in Photolithography, Poly and Nitride Etch, and Metrology.  After several years moved to a role of customer support and problem solving, including quality training, customer audits, and failure analysis.  In 1995, an opportunity in Sales with AlliedSignal (now Honeywell) took Jim from Motorola to sell low k dielectric polymers and spin on glass to almost every semiconductor company in the United States.  After a company merger in 2000, Jim returned to work doing training classes at Motorola (now Continental Automotive).  Jim has developed training materials for himself, Dell Computer and Motorola as well as teaching classes owned by Motorola, Midavation and Texas A&M University Texas Engineering Extension.  Jim has taught at Texas Instruments, Fairchild Semiconductor, Motorola, ST Microelectronics, Continental Automotive as well as open courses at the Semi offices in San Jose California and PTI.  Classes taught include: Developing a course for Dell Computer (BPI - Business Process Improvement), SPC, 8D Problem Solving, DC Circuits, AC Circuits, Power Supply Concepts, Discrete Components, Component Identification, Introduction to Semiconductor Processing, Epitaxial Silicon Process, Wet and Dry Etch Processes, and Developed a course for Dell Computer titled BPI – (Business Process Improvement)
