Jean-Marc is responsible for the deployment & support of Digital Solutions to enable STMicroelectronics Front-End operations in Singapore (2 locations spread across 7 buildings, ~ 3500 employees). He is in-charge of the

  •   Manufacturing productivity & automation programs at site level,
  •   Co-drive the LEAN transformation program at site level,
  •   Site IT Director: represents global DIT for Singapore manufacturing  locations,
  •   Dotted-line reporting to the Site GM,
  •   Lead a team of 66 IT professionals & 14 IT technicians (24x7) as well as 1 manufacturing PM and 5 manufacturing engineers & technicians

In the digital perimeter, solutions range from monolithic MES (Manufacturing Executing System) running on HP Integrity servers to real-time production flow optimization / production support on mobile platform / AI and Big data solutions for yield enhancement or engineering productivity increase. A large number of the solutions are designed in-house locally.

In the lean management realm, the focus is the development of a site culture developed around key management practices and selected lean tools. Sustainability is achieved through the progressive buildup of a network of change agents across whole organization: from manufacturing to HR, from planning to finance.

Some key achievements:

  • Startup of 200mm wafer fab (overall 1B USD project),
  • Closure of 125mm wafer fab (29 years of history),
  • Consolidation of Manufacturing solutions team for 4 plants,
  • Build up a sustainable team of skilled professionals recognized across the company,
  • Cross-fertilization of knowledge and technology between front-end (fab) and back-end (assembly/packaging) world,
  • Digital Transformation drive,
