SEMI Southeast Asia in an effort to develop new talent, the virtual SEMICON Southeast Asia 2020 did feature a Workforce & Talent Development initiative to address the critical issue of sustaining growth and innovation of the industry through talent acquisition.
University Program - 'Inspiration Talk' held on 13 and 19 August 2020, this platform featured speakers from the Ministry of Education Malaysia, Lam Research, GLOBALFOUNDRIES together with SEMI Foundation. With free access to SEMICON SEA Goes Virtual, more than 750 students are majority from Malaysia & Singapore universities hopped online recently to attend Inspiration Talk, the SEMI SEA’s first webinar. Students also get connected with recruiters and companies via this platform. They learned about overcoming challenges at work and gained a competitive edge by connecting with industry leaders for insider knowledge.
