Nearly 566 virtual participants and 100 on-site visitors – the event’s limit – gathered for the two-day Advanced Semiconductor Technology Conference (ASTC) 2021 last week at the Biopolis Matrix in Singapore. SEMI Southeast Asia’s first hybrid event focused on advances in connecting, sensing and predicting for semiconductor manufacturing.
Themed Connecting, Sensing, Predicting - Optimizing Your Manufacturing in a Digital Age, the conference featured real-life used cases, a smart factory tour, and expert-led panel discussions looking out three to five years. One key takeaway: The microelectronics design and manufacturing industry has an unprecedented opportunity to take advantage of smart manufacturing practices to increase productivity, time to market and quality while driving towards more sustainable business practices. A recent study projected that smart factory initiatives will generate an overall productivity gain of 19.8% by 2023.
A big thanks to our industry partners, sponsors and speakers in making ASTC 2021 a great success for the industry. Gathering at industry venues like ASTC 2021 is vital for industry players to re-affirm their connections as, collectively, we work to overcome the challenges and uncertainties from the ongoing global pandemic.
Special thanks to all our sponsors, notably the following:
- Platinum Sponsors – AEM and Micron
- Gold Sponsors – GlobalFoundries, KLA and Lam Research
- Silver Sponsors – Advantest, Applied Materials, Hewlett Packard, Infineon, Kulicke & Soffa, Nexperia, Soitec, TEL and ViTrox
Please note that we have postponed SEMICON SEA 2021 to 17-19 August. During the exposition, we will continue to define and deliver an ecosystem of tools, case studies, data and standards that enable microelectronics manufacturers to achieve the benefits of smart manufacturing.
See you at SEMICON Southeast Asia 2021!
