Chairman, Taiwan Power Company (Taipower)

Taipower is a state-owned, integrated power utility operating across power generation, transmission, distribution, and electricity sales.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Tseng held a range of senior leadership roles in both local and central government. He served as Director-General of the Economic Development Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government and later as Political Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs, while concurrently serving as Acting Chairman of Taipower. Throughout his public service career, he has contributed to Taiwan’s industrial development, economic governance, and energy policy.

As Chairman of Taipower, Mr. Tseng is leading the company’s efforts to strengthen electricity system resilience, accelerate the energy transition, and ensure a reliable and sustainable power supply. Under his leadership, Taipower is expanding grid infrastructure, integrating renewable energy, and enhancing system capacity to meet rapidly growing electricity demand from AI, semiconductors, and other strategic industries.

Mr. Tseng earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from National Taiwan University.
