Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering Mayo Clinic - Arizona
Dr. Suman Bose is an Assistant Professor of Physiology, Biomedical Engineering, and Immunology at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at MIT, where his research focused on developing bio-inspired microfluidic devices for point-of-care cancer and infection diagnostics. Following his PhD, he conducted postdoctoral research under Dr. Robert Langer and Dr. Daniel Anderson at MIT's Koch Institute, working on a platform for implanting therapeutic cells in the body.
Currently, Dr. Bose’s lab integrates biomaterial design and immune engineering to create advanced implants aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of cell therapy. His achievements have been recognized through several awards, including Meditech’s 40 Under 40 in Healthcare, NIH K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award, and NIH R35 MIRA Award.
