General Manager, HD Renewable Energy
Jason Shih-Chang Chou serves as General Manager of HD Renewable Energy Group (HDRE), overseeing the Group’s business development, operations and global expansion across renewable energy, energy storage, power retailing and energy services.
Jason began exploring opportunities in the renewable energy sector in Japan with Chairman Edward Hsieh in 2012. Building on this experience, they founded HD Renewable Energy in 2016. Under their leadership, HDRE became Taiwan’s first energy company listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange Innovation Board in 2023 and transferred to the TWSE General Board in 2024. The company has since expanded its business footprint across Taiwan and international markets.
Jason has played a key role in developing HDRE from a renewable energy developer into an integrated smart energy company, with capabilities spanning renewable energy development, energy storage, power retailing and trading, and smart energy services. His leadership focuses on business execution, team development and identifying new opportunities in evolving energy markets.
Jason holds an academic background in sports science, which has influenced his leadership approach with an emphasis on resilience, teamwork and disciplined execution.
