Programme Overview
Two ways for students to engage with the semiconductor industry
The Workforce Development track combines learning, mentoring, exhibition discovery and industry sharing to help students connect classroom learning with real industry context.
3–4 December 2026 SEMI TECH Zoomers BootcampAn immersive two-day programme where engineering students develop semiconductor industry knowledge, refine solutions with industry mentors and gain exposure through an inter-university challenge and industry visits. • 80 Year 3 and Year 4 engineering or semiconductor-related students | 4 December 2026 TalentCONNECTA large-scale student engagement experience that connects students with semiconductor technologies, companies, career opportunities and industry role models. • 200 Vietnamese students from engineering and semiconductor-related courses |
TECH ZOOMERS BOOTCAMP
Student teams will work through a structured challenge journey, supported by mentors and culminating in a live final competition at SEMIEXPO Viet Nam 2026.
2 Nov 2026 | Challenge LaunchVirtual briefing, challenge statement release and mentor introductions. |
2–23 Nov 2026 | Build Your SolutionTeams develop their proposed solution and submit their draft presentation deck by 23 Nov, 23:59. |
27–30 Nov 2026 | Virtual MentoringMentors review proposed solutions and presentations, with feedback for refinement. |
3–4 Dec 2026 | Semi-Final & FinalTeams pitch in mentor pods, with top teams advancing to the final presentation and live judging. |
How student teams and mentorship are structured
8 Universities | 16 Teams | 80 Students | 5 Students / Team |
Each university is expected to form two same-university teams of five students. Multidisciplinary teams are encouraged.
Mentorship support model
Industry MentorsIndustry mentors provide context, challenge assumptions and guide project and pitch refinement. | Assistant MentorsAssistant mentors support team coordination, student confidence and language clarification where needed. |

SEMIEXPO Discovery Quest brings students into the SEMIEXPO Viet Nam 2026 environment through conference learning, exhibition exploration and career-focused activities.
