CEITEC S.A. is a state-owned company reporting to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), which operates in the semiconductor sector, developing solutions for automatic identification (RFID and smartcards) and specific applications (ASICs). The company designs, manufactures and sells integrated circuits (chips) for applications aimed at identifying animals, medications, blood products, people and vehicles, as well as authentication, inventory management and asset tracking, among other purposes. Based in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, CEITEC S.A. performs a strategic role in the development of the Brazilian microelectronics industry.
