Under-Secretary-General Digital and Emerging Technologies, United Nations

Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill serves as Under-Secretary-General and Special Envoy for Digital and Emerging Technologies. He leads strategic technology initiatives, facilitates coordination across the UN, and engages global stakeholders. USG Gill was also a member of the Secretary-General’s High-level Advisory Body and is part of the Secretary-General’s AI and Scientific Advisory Board. Previously, he was Executive Director of the UN's High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation and India's Ambassador to the Conference on Disarmament. In 2024, TIME magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in AI and in 2025, he was selected for the Observer's A.I. Power List.
