Co-Founder & CEO/COO, VSAP LAB
Bao-Anh Nguyen is a distinguished semiconductor engineering executive with nearly 20 years of experience in advanced packaging, multi-die integration, and high-speed interface IP development. As Co-Founder and CEO/COO of VSAP LAB, he leads the company’s mission to establish Vietnam’s first world-class Advanced Packaging Lab-Fab ecosystem, bridging research, design, and manufacturing for next-generation semiconductor technologies.
Previously, Bao-Anh served as General Director of Mixel Vietnam (acquired by Silvaco) and Senior Director at Synopsys Vietnam, where he built and led multi-die product line teams (D2D, UCIe) with 200 engineers in Vietnam and over 500 worldwide, delivering production-proven chiplet and interconnect IPs now used in HPC, AI, and cloud data-center chips.
Since 2014, he has been a key technical contributor to global standards such as HBM, OpenHBI, AIB, and UCIe, and an active member of JEDEC, the UCIe Consortium, and the Open Compute Project (OCP). Earlier, he led high-speed interface IP developments in DDR, MIPI, LVDS, and Memory Compilers, shaping foundational IPs used in mobile and computing SoCs.
Bao-Anh is also the Co-Founder and Administrator of Vietnam’s Semiconductor Community (Congdongvimach), the country’s largest professional network of semiconductor engineers. He holds a Master’s degree in Analog/Mixed-Signal and RF Design from Kyung Hee University, Korea.
