In her role at TBI Vietnam, Ly Nguyen leads the organization’s efforts to advise the government of Vietnam on institutional arrangements and mechanisms to attract high-quality FDI, develop Vietnam into a financial hub, and strengthen the country’s innovation ecosystem.
Prior to that, Ly was Vingroup Head of Government Relations and Public Affairs, in charge of developing strategic partnerships with foreign governmental agencies, international organizations, and non-profit organizations. She was in charge of engagement with foreign public sector counterparts to further VinFast (one of Vingroup’s subsidiaries and Vietnam’s first automotive manufacturer) ambition to bring sustainable vehicles to the world. Ly was at the forefront in Vingroup’s efforts to support Covid-19 treatment to the Vietnamese government during the peak of the pandemic.
Before joining Vingroup, Ly was at Asia Group Advisors (AGA) facilitating MNCs entering Vietnam market in ICT, fintech, FMCG and tourism. She spent over 6 years at the forefront of disaster management and response efforts across the Asia Pacific region for international organizations including the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the World Health Organization.
Ms. Ly holds a M.A. in Public Policy of the University of Maryland, College Park, and a B.A. in journalism and international studies.
