Vice Provost Strategic Enrollment Management, University of Idaho
Dr. Dean R. Kahler serves the University of Idaho as the Vice Provost and provides leadership for enrollment marketing, recruitment and retention efforts and truly enjoys serving students who are interested in attending college. The University of Idaho is Idaho’s flagship land grant university and the only R1 (Very High Research Intensive) University in the state of Idaho.
Kahler came to U of I from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he served as Vice Chancellor. He has worked with Navitas Ltd. where he established a Pathway Program for international students to study in the USA. He has been the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management at Western Kentucky University.
Kahler has a Ph.D. and a M.P.A. from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology: Criminal Justice from Winona State University. He has presented at conferences and written on various topics worldwide throughout his career in higher education.
Kahler currently lives in the United States in Moscow, Idaho.
