China’s Top 20 PV Companies Lead the SEMI Standards Task Force

Over one hundred PV companies in China now participate as committee members on task forces to develop SEMI PV standards.  Participants include China’s top 20 PV companies.

The SEMI China PV committee has now drafted three standards that were published into the SEMI International Standards Photovoltaic Volume.   An additional eight documents are in the ballot cycle; eight were drafted in 2013; one doc 5428A is in the audit and review cycle, is expected to be published soon. Another six documents are under development.  (See list below.)

SEMI China PV Standards committee

 At the ISC meeting during SEMICON Japan 2013, the China PV power station task force leader delivered a China PV liaison report and recommendations to expand the PV committee to cover the PV downstream and include PV power stations.  The next step will be to secure RSC approval in the first half of 2014.
