Gary Dawson

Gary Dawson serves as the Director of Operations for Spansion Fab25.  In this role, he also manages the
Factory Systems, Facilities, Industrial Engineering, Planning and Decision Support Systems departments.

Gary joined the Semiconductor Industry in 1983 with Intel Corporation serving in the Process Engineering and
Integration areas. His next assignment was with Philips Semiconductors responsible for Diffusion process
development.    After various industry roles, he joined AMD and transitioned to Operations/ Module Management

supporting the CMP, Diffusion, Implant, Photolithography and Etch modules.  Gary’s next assignment was as
the Director of Engineering focusing on fabwide Variability Reduction Initiatives,  followed by his present role
as the Director of Operations/Support.  Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the
University of Cincinnati and an Master of Business Administration from St. Edwards University.
