Chris Magnella is director of operations for Freescale Semiconductor’s Oak Hill wafer manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas.

In production since 1991, the Oak Hill Fab produces MEMS devices, microcontrollers, power management and radio frequency
products for the automotive, wireless and networking markets.

Magnella is a 27-year veteran of the semiconductor industry. He has held various positions in engineering management,
manufacturing management and product business management

Prior to Freescale, Magnella held engineering positions at Analog Devices and Harris Semiconductor.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from Virginia Tech and has served on the board of directors for the
Fab Owners Association.

He lives in Austin with his wife and two sons.
