Industry Research and Statistics

Our materials data collection programassembles revenue data for six material segments shipped to North America, Japan, Europe, Korea, Taiwan, China and Rest of World. Additionally, SEMI works with other organizations to cover the rest of the semiconductor materials market.

Communities

Chemical and Gases Manufacturers Group (CGMG)
To facilitate collective efforts on issues related to chemical and gas supplies to the semiconductor, display and PV industries, the Chemical and Gases Manufacturing Group (CGMG)provides SEMI advice, council and direction on market research activities, program content in SEMICON events, EHS regulatory issues and other issues.

Silicon Manufacturers Group
The Silicon Manufacturer's Groupis a special interest group of SEMI® members who produce polycrystalline silicon, monocrystalline silicon or silicon wafers (e.g., as cut, polished, epi, etc.) including both reclaimed or reworked wafers as well as silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafers.

Collaborative Alliance for Semiconductor Test (CAST)
CAST was formed in 2008 by semiconductor device makers and test industry suppliers to engage in and resolve common industry issues related to higher test equipment utilization, lower costs, and greater standardization and return on test-related R&D.

Environmental, Health and Safety

SEMI provides full-time staff resources that focus on international EHS topics, compliance and regulatory issues, and the advancement of EHS within the semiconductor, display and PV industries. It facilitates industry-wide collective efforts that member companies of SEMI believe would be more effectively undertaken by the industry association and cross-industry groups.
