Flat Panel Displays (FPD)

Since the 1980’s, SEMI has been serving the FPD community by organizing industry events, providing market information, facilitating the development of industry standards, and helping the industry manage a complex range of issues including environmental, health and safety (EHS) and international trade.  SEMI members provide the complete range of manufacturing solutions for today’s displays—from substrates and materials to equipment, factory automation, and test.

FPD Standards
The first SEMI FPD Standard, SEMI D3-91, was completed in 1991. Over the past 15 years, 25 other SEMI standards addressing topics ranging from substrate size to Mura measurement to large area masks were adopted by the industry.  For more information on SEMI FPD standards, please visit the SEMI International Standards website.

 

Environmental Responsibility through Global Care

The SEMI EHS Division focuses on international EHS topics, compliance and regulatory issues, and the advancement of EHS within the industry. Global Care is a semiconductor and equipment industry initiative designed to establish a framework on which the diverse membership of SEMI can build and strengthen commitment to the environment, health and safety (EHS).  For more information, visit the SEMI EHS website.
