SEMI - Productivity

Productivity

SEMI helps members sustain long-term growth and profitability by working with the industry to improve the productivity of new and existing fabs. This industry-wide effort seeks to maximize semiconductor fab throughput, efficiency and flexibility by intelligently addressing the largest acknowledged performance issues and opportunities facing all fabs, regardless of wafer size or technology node, including transitions to MEMs and other device manufacturing. SEMI is addressing these productivity issues through industry standards, industry education, and the formation and support of related industry groups.

Secondary Equipment, Services and Technology Group (SESTG)-- a SEMI Special Interest Group (SIG)

To more effectively support 200 mm and 150 mm fabs, SEMI has acquired SEC/N®, the Surplus Equipment Consortium Network, to support members and the global secondary market for semiconductor equipment. Under the direction of a new Special Interest Group, secondary market activities will be integrated with other SEMI programs, events, products, and initiatives. With one SIG focused on secondary equipment, SEMI hopes to further advance the SEC/N agenda and provide better support to members and their customers.
