Dr. Hemond was named Chief Marketing Officer for the Electronics & Imaging business upon the completion of the DowDuPont merger. Previously, Hemond was Business Group Director of Strategic Planning, Marketing and Business Development for Dow’s Electronic Materials business group. Since 2014, he has been responsible for strategic planning and driving revenue growth through new business development, including M&A, nurturing early-stage ventures, and key corporate account programs. Previously, Hemond was Global Marketing Director for the business group for three years. Prior to 2011, Hemond led two businesses for Dow as Global Business Director for its LED Technologies and Optical and Ceramic Technologies businesses. In 2009, Hemond was named the Director of Marketing for the Growth Technologies’ business unit and took on full responsibility for the product portfolio, intellectual property, pricing, and marketing strategies.

Hemond began his professional career with the Shipley Company in 1990 as an R&D chemist and held various research and development, engineering and marketing roles over the years. In 2004, he was promoted to the role of marketing director for the Microelectronic Technologies division. Hemond earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Colby College in Maine and his PhD in Chemistry from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Following his Ph.D., Dr. Hemond held two postdoctoral chemistry positions – the first at King’s College in London England and the second at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Hemond is also President of the Board of Kroka Expeditions, a wilderness school based in New Hampshire.
