SEMI Professional Development Seminar

This seminar is organized by the SEMI Northeast committee and its Education and Workforce Development sub-committee. Our dedicated members are community oriented with a key objective of helping college students to meet the demands of today’s high tech work force and to be successful with their careers. Industry volunteers will share what high tech industry looks for when they recruit for new graduates.  Companies are interested to meet students and to prepare students for the 21st century workforce.

The objective is to to excite students about career opportunities in high tech and to provide valuable, practical information that will help them choose their career direction and make a plan for success.  SEMI members with broad educational backgrounds and work experience will provide students with real world perspective.

Our seminar on November 1, 2017 will cover:

  • Overview of careers in high tech, sought after degrees and skill sets
  • First hand discussions with engineers, marketing and sales, management, finance, recruiting and human resources.
  • Common Interview Questions and Answers
  • Preparing for the interview, tips on behavior, what to wear, etc.
