Advanced Semiconductor Technology Conference 2015
By Kai Fai Ng, president, SEMI Southeast Asia
Anticipation and excitement over SEMI Southeast Asia’s first-ever high-level technical symposium is building up momentum.
The Advanced Semiconductor Technology Conference (ASTC), an inaugural event this year, focuses on the development of MEMS and Advanced Packaging that will impact the evolution of the Internet of Things. ASTC aims to serve as a pre-eminent platform focused on sharing of innovative semiconductor developments for the region. The conference will address the unique requirements of the region.
In addition, we envision that the conference will serve as a platform providing unique opportunities for industry thought leaders and corporate movers to understand the pre-investment considerations in fulfilling the next generations of devices. In partnership with Institute of Microelectronics (IME) and YOLE development, the Conference will be held in Singapore Marina Bay Sands and will run from 27-28 July 2015.
In addition to high-level speakers from companies such as ASE, ASM, Cisco, Global Foundries, Freescale, Fairchild, Lam Research and Nokia, the conference will also be featuring companies as diverse as ClothingPlus on wearables textiles, Deca Technologies on Fan-out packaging technologies, and Microgen Systems on Energy Harvesting. This conference will also introduce the emergence of Plastic/Printed electronics by Lux Research on applications for the IoT.
I look forward to seeing you at the Advanced Semiconductor Technology Conference! Save the date and stay tuned!
