In 2001, Dr. Todd R. Younkin obtained his Ph.D. in organometallic & polymer chemistry from the California Institute of Technology under the direction of Nobel Laureate Robert H. Grubbs. He has 13 years of Intel R&D experience with a wide range of emphases spanning - optical, EUVL, and electron-
beam lithography, directed self-assembly (DSA), integrated photonics, and the design and deployment of photoresists, block copolymers (BCPs), low-k dielectrics, and active and passive optical polymers. He currently serves as the Director of GRC-NMS-Patterning at the SRC, an officer for two divisions of SPIE Advanced Lithography (Materials & Alt. Litho), and on the advisory board for the Center for Hierarchical Materials Design (CHiMaD) - a key part of President Obama’s Materials Genome Initiative (MGI). Within the larger charter of the Advanced Lithography and Novel Materials Group, Todd’s current role is to deliver ‘bottom’s up’ material and integration solutions (such as DSA using BCPs) that will extend Moore’s Law.
